Check out the Alaska Zoo. Looking for fun family activities in Anchorage before or after your time at Tordrillo Mountain Lodge? For the last 45 years, the Alaska Zoo has provided a safe home for countless animals and conducted programs for its animal loving visitors.

During the winter season, the Alaska Zoo is open from 10 am- 4 pm daily. The zoo is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the conservation of Arctic, sub-Arctic and like climate species. The zoo is home to a diverse species of mammals and birds. Some of the mammals currently residing at the zoo include an Amur Tiger, Black Bear, Polar Bear, Snow Leopard, Canadian Lynx and Bactrian Camel among others.
