Summer vacations at Tordrillo Mountain Lodge are a quick 45-minute floatplane ride from Anchorage to Judd Lake, where you’ll find an incredible lodge and multi-sport complex in the heart of the Alaska wild and 60 miles from any road. Access millions of acres of the untouched Alaskan wilderness with us at the world’s most spectacular outdoor playground – where a helicopter serves as a personal chauffeur to everything that Alaska’s magical terrain has to offer.

Our accommodations include a 5,600-square-foot main lodge with a large dining area and three cedar decks overlooking the lake where your family can gather before and after your daily adventures or four private, Scandinavian-designed cabins that were flown into the resort by helicopter. Whatever your family’s lodging preferences may be, we will surely have the perfect cabin for you.

Things To Do with Kids in Alaska

Tordrillo Mountain Lodge is the perfect adventure destination for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. From July through mid-September, your family can choose from world-class fishing, spectacular glacial hiking, whitewater rafting, waterskiing, and wakesurfing in the most spectacular parts of the Tordrillo Mountain Range. If you have younger kiddos, there will be plenty for them to enjoy as well. We offer a variety of watersports and other activities to enjoy all day long on Judd Lake.

Alaskan Cuisine and Dining Options for Families

At Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, the cuisine is part of the adventure. We make sure to always have dishes that will please the pickiest of younger eaters—even mac ‘n cheese can be on the menu. Every day starts with a breakfast buffet that includes fresh fruit, homemade pastries, and a hot dish; all served with international coffees and teas. Homemade soups, gourmet sandwiches, and loaded brownies fuel the back half of the day. Dinners are beautifully crafted by our gourmet chefs. 

Dining Experience

Camp TML

Tordrillo Mountain Lodge has launched Camp TML for families traveling with kids 8-16 years of age. These 3, 4 and 7 day outdoor adventure sessions in July and August cater to groups organized by ages 8-12 and 13-16. Kids will learn new outdoor skills including watersports, climbing, fishing, rowing, kayaking, nature walks, gardening, lawn sports, painting and hiking from our top guides. Gear and safety equipment of all sizes is available.
