For every adventure in the great Alaska outdoors, there’s a ski or fishing story waiting to be told indoors—and our full-service bar and restaurant is the perfect backdrop. From seasonal, gourmet cuisine to local, handcrafted beers, signature drinks and premium pours to our daily, always-changing après ski spread, the taste of adventure is always on our menu.
At Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, the cuisine is part of the adventure. Your day starts with a breakfast buffet that includes fresh fruit, homemade pastries, and a hot dish; all served with international coffees and teas. Homemade soups, gourmet sandwiches, and loaded brownies fuel the back half of the day. And always feel free to help yourself to anything in the refrigerator or pantry. Dinner is nothing short of a gourmet gastronomical experience, replete with suggested wine pairings.
Our courses feature seasonal herbs and fresh vegetables from our garden, Alaska seafood, and regional game dishes. Fresh Kachemak Bay oysters, white king salmon, Alaska king crab, halibut, black cod and scallops are some of the local specialties you can expect to see featured as appetizers and entrees, along with specialty game dishes such as elk, lamb and pheasant. Guests who choose to eat their catch can choose from the many preparations from smoked lox to table entrees. Special diets are also accommodated with advance notice. Experience gourmet cuisine and luxury in the heart of the Alaskan wilderness.
Along with our reputation as a world-class heli skiing destination, Tordrillo Mountain Lodge boasts a sophisticated wine collection. Our 500-bottle cellar houses top-shelf wines from around the world that are selected by sommeliers who know our menus and our clients’ discerning palettes. Bins include Italian greats like Sassicaia, Ornellaia, and Gaja, along with award-winners from Bordeaux, Napa Valley top picks, Pacific Northwest pinots, and premium selections from Australia and New Zealand.
“What’s more, the property boasts private chefs who serve meals that are nothing short of amazing. Gourmands will delight in fresh Kachemak Bay oysters, along with king salmon, Alaska king crab, halibut and regional specialties such as elk and pheasant. Tordrillo also uses fresh organic vegetables from the garden. Even better, wine pairings are also offered to create a dining experience that’s both rustic and elegant.”
