Amie Engerbretson on the SUP Board at Kings & Corn

Pro Skier and SUP Board expert Amie Engerbretson travels to experience Kings & Corn at Tordrillo Mountain Lodge. Amie Engerbretson grew up in Lake Tahoe, California and was first on snow at 10 months old. Her father Jeff Engerbrtetson was a pro skier and photographer/cinematographer and Amie has been skiing for the cameras all her life.

SNOW Magazine sent Amie on assignment to Tordrillo Mountain Lodge for a week of Kings & Corn which is heli skiing in Alaska and fishing for king salmon. Most flights arrive into Anchorage late at night so guest overnight at the Captain Cook hotel and leave early the next morning to board a float plane to take them to the lodge. The flight from Anchorage out to the lake is one of the most scenic flights in the world, flying over the ocean, past Denali and over rivers and snow covered peaks. The float plane lands in front of the lodge where you can get a bird’s eye view of Amie paddle boarding after a great day of heli skiing and fine dining on fresh salmon with perfect wine pairings. It might look like 12pm, but it’s well after 10pm and the fun never stops.
