Choose Your Heli Biking Adventure

Heli biking routes begin from the flanks of Mt. Spurr volcano and wind down paths carved in cinder and pumice deposits from area volcanoes. Some bikers may choose to forge new paths or follow gentle ridge lines to alpine lakes. Others can bike directly on a glacier for a whole new snow biking experience. Riders can choose a descent or ascent of virtually any length or difficulty, making this experience perfect for anyone interested in mountain biking regardless of their level of skill or expertise.

Top of the Line Heli Biking Equipment

Enjoy heli biking in Alaska without the burden of disassembly during flight. We use a state-of-the-art helicopter rack that can transport bikes. TML owners—Olympic Gold Medalist Tommy Moe and fellow heli ski veterans Mike Overcast and Mike Rheam—invested in the country’s first Aero Quick Design Release helicopter bike rack. It holds four bikers and their bikes, as well as an experienced guide, and allows them to be flown deep into the Tordrillo Mountain Range. Our expertly trained helicopter pilots are experienced in high-altitude flight, as well as the intricacies of flying with bikes attached to the aircraft. Departing from the lodge’s helicopter pad, guests hit the pristine Alaskan trails in just minutes.
