And just like that. It’s fall. Leaves are turning and falling to the ground and the lodge is being put to bed for a few months until we’re back to ski. The fall season happens quickly around here. We’ll be back digging our way in through feet of snow for the winter season.
But, for now it’s reflection time on a fantastic summer with great partners, guests and friends who graced the property. It always goes fast, especially in Alaska. Recent guest and Trout TV co-host, Hilary Hutcheson claimed that “in the morning the leaves started to turn colors and by that evening they were red and already falling off the trees.”
We’re putting the finishing touches on the lodge for the fall season. Mike Overcast and Bret Gilleland are busy getting ready to head out and head home.
Thanks for a great summer! Below are some nice fish from our recent guests–dolly varden and rainbows.
Now, off we go for fall activities and thoughts of winter. Smells like snow out there.
