An onsite helicopter and ski and float plane are ready to whisk you away to the world’s most talked about skiing, fishing, hiking, rafting, glacier exploring and wildlife viewing. For skiers and boarders, the only way to explore the mountains and valleys that carve out the Alaska Range is by the Eurocopter AS 350-B3, better known as the A-Star. Known for its power, speed, and agility, this helicopter is the foundation of our safety-first operations. Tordrillo Mountain Lodge partners with professional helicopter operators to provide on-site transportation services. Our company is known for its dedicated mechanics and A-Star pilots who have been providing safe, reliable lifts in Alaska for years.
For fixed wing support we use DeHavilland Beavers, stationed in Anchorage and at Tordrillo Mountain Lodge. They are the workhorses behind safe, efficient transportation to the property and throughout the different ski zones we frequent. A Piper Super Cub, known for its ability to take off and land in very short distances, is also available for remote scouting and pioneering of airstrips near powder stashes and fuel depots.
