AK the sweetest place in North America? We think snow.

We’ve all been bombarded with the media telling us all winter that resorts all across North America didn’t receive any snow. As if we didn’t notice our pals in certain states trying to ski down their grassy knolls in the middle of February.

Hello 80 feet of snow

What the media didn’t heavily mention, however, is how undeniably awesome Alaska was and still is.  And that was probably a good idea–it’s not polite to rub it in. When snowfall was totaled throughout North America, our area of Alaska came in first with a whopping 962” and Mt.Baker, Washington coming in at second with only 800”. That means that Alaska had more than 13’ more snow than any other region in the entire continent. Alaska is awesome and the proof is in the pudding…the sweet, sweet pudding we call snow. Well done, AK. Well done.
